What is The Fit Dads?

04 December 2012 / 5 comments

The Fit Dads is a group of Dads who want to stay fit not only for ourselves, but also our friends, family and especially our children. We would like to become role models for the younger generation and motivate other dads to do the same.  We’ve taken our love of fitness and joined Beach Body to help get in the best shape of our lives.

    Hi All there,
apparently Fit Dads gets to the point – the Kids. An here is where I get stuck on further losing weight.
Workout routine with 30 to 40 min 5x a week is working fine. However when staying with the meal plan, my kids revolt. No fish, no chicken, or other white meat, (ok if once a week) not all veggies.
Since I have two kids you already know where this is going to land. #1 does like one sort of veggies, so #2 does not and vice versa. And I also do not want have them eat beef or lamb the whole week (apparently they like the good stuff as well so I am not too bad in cooking) however they meal plan does not fit mine, and so I am stuck with my weight for already 4 weeks, the balance moving up and down a few hundred grams. So now an input in harmonizing workout meals and kids needs is highly appreciated

    Thank you for your support

    • Tell those kids who is boss!! hahah yea right. I hear ya! At the end of the day it sounds like you are eating pretty well, but how much are you eating??? People do not realize it is about calories in and calories out. They read that avocado and nuts are good for you, but they go and eat a can of nuts a day or 3 or 4 avocados lol. That is a lot of calories.

As annoying as it is you need to figure out how many calories, fat, protein etc… you are eating everyday. You can sign up for spark people and plugin all the info and it will track it for you tell you how much to eat etc…

If you are not in a calorie deficit you will never drop the weight simple as that. Sure exercising is great and you will feel better, more solid, grow muscle, build cardio etc… but if you really want to shed some fat around the body you need to do the math.

Also sometimes you might just have to make your own stuff and have different food.
